Gosh, it’s good to have girlfriends.Although my ever-tolerant, loving spouse is down for just about any weekend activity I can think up, he is NOT a fan of professional football. And he especially doesn’t care to chat about how handsome the new Titans quarterback is, or where I found a darling infinity scarf with the Titans logo on it. So, isn’t it great that I get to go to a Titans game with a bunch of girlfriends this weekend?!? Yes, indeed it is!

I suppose a lot of people would try to find a parking spot to tailgate downtown prior to the game. Those would be the people who haven’t discovered Uber or Lyft. Thanks to these awesome, affordable ridesharing services, we’ll be having brunch at my house before the game, and the clean-up can wait until after I get back home!

Along with some tasty beverages, this will be our pre-game brunch menu:

titans outfitBy the way, here is a picture of the game-day outfit I assembled at Academy Sports last weekend (shirts and scarf, anyway). As much as I’d love to sport a #8 jersey in support of Marcus Mariota, the truth is that it’s been about 5 years since my last Titans game – and the odds aren’t good that a #8 Mariota jersey will still be relevant when I attend my next Titans game in 2020! (That’s a decision my husband would approve of.)

Sounds Like Fun - Nashville is a labor of love - my love for Music City, Middle Tennessee, and experiencing the best that our area has to offer. In recent years, I've developed an informal following among my friends and professional colleagues. People ask me what I've got planned for an upcoming weekend – or seek advice about good activities for showing visiting friends or relatives around the Nashville/Middle Tennessee area. Even though there are other sites with event calendars, I think followers of my blog can expect some extra insight into goings-on that would suit ‘most anyone seeking to experience the diversity of fun and interesting things to do around town. I'm always on the look-out for good places to walk my dog. Maggie is a 10-year-old mixed breed shelter dog who still becomes comically ecstatic when she sees me pick up a leash. She's my inspiration to start a page featuring great dog walks around Nashville.
